During the past days, I’ve been constantly ‘complaining’ over my seemingly unending household chores. I guess I need help in organizing my time and my house though this site called FlyLady.net.
I’ve actually signed up for a free account in this site a few years ago, but I was a bit overwhelmed by the amount of emails that they send everyday. We didn’t have a good internet access in our house at that time yet, so I don’t get a chance to check my mails often. So, you can imagine the shock when I open my mails and get flooded by Fly Lady.
But I guess now, I’m quite ready to subscribe again. They really have a lot of tips and tricks to keep your household on it’s tip top shape. But, I have to wait for awhile before I subscribe in their site. We have some visitors coming this week, so my schedule will be a bit busy and I don’t won’t to be so overwhelmed with so much information at this time. Maybe when my schedule becomes normal again. Hmmm.. let’s say in 2 weeks time?

I’ve read about an article of one of the secrets in saving electric power a few months ago but never got the chance to practice it. Then, my friend had a shout out in her Facebook account that they tried this tip and saved a good amount of money in their monthly electricity bill.
I’ll have to try this soon especially since we’re now using an aircondtion unit in the master’s bedroom. We’re trying to use the aircon a few hours each day only. Anyways, we’ll see how it goes.
And by the way, the electric saving power tip I’ve read about is, to unplug all the cords of the appliances when not in use. Yes, unplug them. It’s not enough just to turn the appliance off since a bit of electricity still runs even when it’s switched off. It has been said, that once it’s unplug, all the electric power is on a complete halt. Interesting huh? Well, I might have to try it. There’s no harm in trying this out, right?

I’ve mentioned in one of my earlier posts about the book (Get More Done in Less Time) I read a few weeks ago. Incidentally, as I was searching about the author, I found that the forms ( charts, tables, planner) she mentioned in her book can be downloaded in the internet for free.
I’ve just printed out a few of the forms just now and be printing more soon. I plan to compile all these and make my own Day Book. Anyways, you can take a peek at the forms and see whether you can use these yourself.
