Domestic Diva Wannabe

My cousin who will be helping out in the center has finally arrived. He will be here for a year and will also be staying in our house. In the Philippines, he has also been ‘adopted’ by our family and staying in our house there. So, he is more of a family member for us.

But still I know there will be a few adjustments to be made with our family with a new housemate. The kids are very excited though and I am too as now my Hubby and I can go on ‘dates’ as he is ever willing to take care of kids while we are out. Yippee!

With the arrival of our homeschool materials, I now have to work on a new schedule or timetable here in the house. I know it won’t be easy at the start but I’m still excited to be homeschooling our girl.

I’m actually a bit overwhelmed with the size and thickness of my Instructor’s guide, but I know that once I start reading and following the lesson plans, it will just be a breeze homeschooling her in the next few days.

I’ve never been very fond of putting make up. When all the other girls were already an expert on putting make up for themselves during college, I was only wearing my face powder and lip gloss at that time. It was only when I got married when I learned to put more than that.

And now I’m quite surprised with my 6 year old daughter who is very curious about make up. She would completely stop whatever she’s doing and look at me while putting on make up. A few times she has attempted to ask me to put for  her but then she gets a lecture from me on how I only learned to put makeup ( face powder and lipstick) at the age of 17. LOL!

But maybe my girl is just interested  make up with the intent of being a professional make up artist in the future. Well, I’m not sure what she wants though in the future but it’s great to know that there are beauty institutes like  Virginia Cosmetology School that are recognized all over the US.
