I’ve read Proverbs 31 for my devotion again today. I’m trying to glean on every word and verse in this chapter and see how I can apply it in my own life.
Anyways, one of the many things that I’ve noticed with the Proverbs 31 woman is that she’s not just a plain homemaker , working in the house per se, but she’s also a trader and even has her own vineyard bought by her own hard earned money. This encourages me to work harder in financially helping to augment our family’s needs. Here are the verses:
16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
I wonder if a Proverbs 31 woman would opt to buy gold coins as a form of investment. I’ve heard that gold coins are in very profitable after so many years as paper money depreciates in value.
Anyways, I really admire the woman in Proverbs 31, she is such a balanced person who excels not just on her tasks and responsibilities at home but even outside too. Hmmm… wish I can be like her.
