The Proverbs 31 Woman and Business

Author: admin  //  Category: Daily Life

I’ve read Proverbs 31 for my devotion again today. I’m trying to glean on every word and verse in this chapter and see how I can apply it in my own life.

Anyways, one of the many things that I’ve noticed with the Proverbs 31 woman is that she’s not just a plain homemaker , working in the house per se, but she’s also a trader and even has her own vineyard bought by her own hard earned money. This encourages me to work harder in financially helping to augment our family’s needs. Here are the verses:

16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.

18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.

I wonder if a Proverbs 31 woman would opt to buy gold coins as a form of investment. I’ve heard that gold coins are in very profitable after so many years as paper money depreciates in value.

Anyways, I really admire the woman in Proverbs 31, she is such a balanced person who excels not just on her tasks and responsibilities at home but even outside too. Hmmm… wish I can be like her. :)

Facebook, A Distraction

I really find Facebook a distraction for me these days. But sometimes, I just can’t help but open my Facebook account and once I open it, I’m glued to it forever. LOL!

So, starting tomorrow, I will try to only open my Facebook account once I’m done with my online and offline work. Never mind if I receive and alert in my email and so and so has commented on my photo or posted something on my wall. Facebooking can wait and I’ve already lost so much of time doing my online and offline work by spending a few minutes ( which turns into an hour) checking my Facebook account.

*Offline work – housechores like cooking, folding clothes, cleaning the house, washing the clothes,washing the dishes and taking care of kids.. :) *

Coke and Coke Zero

I had been Coke-free for almost a month .. took a break and now, I’m not that Coke free anymore. But I’m slowly switching to Coke Zero. I bought a pack of coke zero in cans just the other night and these are reserved for times when I’m craving for Coke. At least I have an alternative but soon enough, I’ll have to abandon this too for I know it’s not a healthy drink.

I wonder if the weight loss drinksĀ  at www.weightlossdrink.org can be a healthy alternative to all these diet sodas. What do you think?
