No More Preschool

preschoolerWe were planning to send our 2.5 year old boy to  pre school. But after attending his first trial class and seeing how kids were being handled in the pre school, we changed our minds. No, we really don’t have any complains about the school nor the teachers but, seeing the reality of what our boy will go through everyday for 7 hours, we felt that he’s not ready for it. Or maybe it’s us who’s not ready.

We actually just need him to be occupied and taken cared of for 3 hours every day while I home school my daughter. So, now we are opting to look for a baby sitter for him in the afternoons. The baby sitter will have an easy job since he takes a nap every afternoon, so she has to do is put him to sleep and by the time he wakes up, it’ll just be another hour of taking care. He only needs two hours of sleep in the afternoon and anything more than that would be sleepless nights for us and for him. We’ve really had major struggle of putting him to sleep lately that for a second I was wishing sleeping pills for kids just so he could sleep. That was just a thought out of frustration and tiredness and I wasn’t really serious on it.

Anyways, I just hope everything will work out fine. I was really excited that he could go for pre school but seeing the real situation made us look for other options.
