Translation Work

Author: admin  //  Category: Daily Life

I’ve always been impressed by foreigners  here in Thailand who can already already do translation work. Actually, I’ve already been staying here for more than 8 years but I still have my struggle with the language. Though I don’t need a translator to communicate with the locals but there will still be times that I don’t understand some of the words that they use.

I’m not so good with the written Thai too. The only advantage with the internet world is that there are a lot of online translations available. Just like for example, bourse en ligne, mutuelle complémentaire santé and calcul credit immobilier. Do you know what language are these words and their meaning? I just simply looked it up in the internet and immiediately found out their English translation which are online grant , supplementary mutual insurance company health and counting credit property, respectively. Cool!

Thai and Indian Dinner

Author: admin  //  Category: Daily Life

We just finished our Thai and Indian dinner in our house with our co workers and students. It wasn’t really a planned dinner. It just so happened that my Hubby went to the Malaysian border and bought a lot of delicious Indian curry and thought of  inviting our co-workers for dinner. But then, they already had plans to have dinner with the students..so we invited all of them instead.

So, we prepared ( which I didn’t cook but just bought ) the Indian food while our co workers brought some Thai dishes with them too.

The mix was okay since bought Indian dishes and Thai dishes are spicy. And our Thai students like the Indian curry too.

So, we had a great dinner with friends. Thinking of relaxing and drinking coffee later as it was quite tiring cleaning up after the dinner. Yup, I guess that’s always the role of the domestic diva! LOL!
