Clean As You Go

” Clean As You Go”. I’ve heard this as one of the ‘mottoes’ of the kitchen staff of many fast food chains. As I’m reminded of this , I’ve also been doing it the past days. You know the simple tasks of picking up that single piece of paper you see on the stairs as you go up, washing the cups first before leaving the kitchen, making the bed once the little one gets up and etc. Amazingly, those simple tasks that I immediately do instead of  letting the paper wait till it’s time for me to sweep the house, letting the cups wait till the whole bunch of dirty dishes come, letting the bed wait until it’s time for another nap have brought great changes in the house. I’ve seen that the house now is indeed much easier to maintain with just few ‘extra’ efforts  and steps as I go along and walk around the house.

Due Dates

It’s already the end of the month. It means its time to pay the bills. It’s a good thing though that most of our bills’ deadlines are set at the end of the month, so we will be able to pay them immediately. So, our phone bill has come, our electricity bill has come. As for our water bill, thank God for the Thai government, it’s FREE! Yeah, for many months now, we’ve not exceeded the allotted budget for our water bill. If we exceed the amount and then we have to pay for it. This move from the Thai government is very good since it will make the people more conscious of their water usage, thus not waste it. And thank God too that this program from the government is not just open for the Thai but for all the residents of Thailand. I hope our country would be able to have program such as this too. It will really help a lot of people.

We have some additional bills for this month, our children’s school fees ( since  they will be starting school in May) and our yearly car insurance fee. We got our car insurance from our friend which makes paying easy. We just have to call him and he meets my Hubby somewhere and Hubby gives him the money. The next day, he will just be giving us the receipt. There were also times that we were not in the country in time for us to pay for our car insurance, but he was kind enough to pay for us first. It’s really great to have friends like that. So, if you’re in Thailand and need an  auto insurance quote , you can tell me and I’ll contact our friend for you. :) But seriously, if your from Florida or Georgia, you can get the florida auto insurance quotes and the georgia auto insurance respectively. I’ve heard these sites have great rates and services.

Pancakes for Breakfast

I love to have pancakes for breakfast. That’s my favorite McDonald’s breakfast. But since, I’m a bit lazy to make pancakes from scratch, I don’t make it so often.

We were only supposed to have our usual bread and jam for breakfast but when my li’l girl was unhappy about being left behind by my Hubby, I had to think of a solution to ease her sadness. Pancakes! Nope, she doesn’t love pancakes as much as I do, but she loves ‘helping’ me out in the kitchen whether making pancakes or baking cakes.

So, there .. my li’l girl and I were busy in the kitchen for a few minutes.. and later I realized that with her help, I think I can make pancakes more often.
