I’m a stay at home mom. But the funny thing is that I never envisioned myself to be a stay-at-home mom, when I was younger.
I always though myself to be a career woman. I thought that after studying in the university, I’ll go find a job, get married and have children but with someone to help me out in the house.
But God had other plans. I committed myself for full time ministry, got married with a foreigner and now based in a country that is not our own. So, getting someone to help me out in the house would be very expensive and impractical.
Since my kids are still young, I have to be with them, take care of them, nurture them until such time that they can be more independent and I will be able to do my share in the ministry. AS of this time, my ministry is to disciple them and make them grow in the fear and knowledge of God. Now, that’s one ministry that no one else can do but me.
I’m glad to be a stay-at-home Mom. Though it may be quite challenging sometimes but the rewards are far beyond words can say.
