Domestic Diva Wannabe

I’m so happy that we already bought a fully automatic washing machine. That was actually one of my dream machine. Thank God for His provision.

It was just so easy and so fast to wash clothes now. No more standing and waiting for the tub to be full  of water. No more forgetting to turn off the water faucet. No more transferring the wet clothes to the dryer. All I have to do was to put the clothes in the tub, put 2 scoops of detergent soap, press two buttons and woolah, the machine will do everything for me. I just have to wait for the musical tune 40 minutes after and I’ll be ready to hang them dry.

So, for the past days, I’ve worked overtime washing all our clothes, bed sheets, blankets and pillow cases. I was done washing in one day! This task usually takes me a week for a semi-automatic washing machine. Oh. sometimes, I just forget that I’m washing clothes so, that explains the delay too.

But since I washed the clothes so fast, the clothes that needed to be folded was also overwhelming. But that one I also finished in a day. It was tiring and how I wish that there’s also a folding machine.

Anyways, I have to go for now. I still have to check on some sites regarding motorhome before I hit the sack.

My Mommy duties has finished quite early today. My Hubby offered to put my kids to sleep. So, by 9:30 pm I was already downstairs relaxing with my coffee, music and netbook. I wasn’t much in the mood to do my online tasks so I just chatted with my cousin and at the same time checking my FB.

Then my friend’s update caught my eye. She wrote something about watching a touching movie called, ” The Time Traveler’s Wife”. So, I ended up searching for the movie online and watching the movie myself.

The Time Traveler’s Wife is a A romantic drama about a Chicago librarian with a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel, and the complications it creates for his marriage. It’s a sci-fi movie where you get a little bit confused from time to time because of it’s great impossibility but the drama is good. I even got teary eyed towards the end of the movie. The main character has actually traveled in the future and somehow already know when he was going to die. No, he didn’t get term life insurance quotes after knowing about the certainty of his death but spent a lot of time with his wife and child.

Our friend was so kind to let us borrow  a stair gate for us to use. This is actually to protect our kids from going up and down the stairs. But since another friend of ours have already lent us a stair gate 2 months ago, I thought of  using this other gate for the kitchen.

My li’l one is so fond of going inside the kitchen, messing up the things inside the fridge , shelves and etc. There’s an open space underneath the sink and so he also goes under it and touch the plumbing fixtures.

So, with this additional gate, it’ll be lesser stress for me .. thanks Jan!
