I confess, I’ve never been a good cook and cooking hasn’t been my favorite thing to do ever since I was young. You see, I’m the youngest in our family and we grew up with someone to cook for us. My Mom had a full time job and we had a house helper to do all the cooking and the housework. When there during the times when our house helper is on leave, my sister on the other hand, takes charge of the kitchen. She just loves to cook so, I gladly left that job to her.
So, you can imagine the adjustment that I had to go through when I got married. My Hubby and I were based in a different country and I was a full time housewife – who could never cook! LOL! But then, I tried my best to get myself out of bed and cook something for my Hubby and I. But it was a great blessing that my HUbby completely understood my background and he never expected me to cook for him everyday. So, most of the days we bought food from the shops outside or we eat out. I could only count how many times I cooked in the house for a year. Then, I got pregnant and the more I had an excuse to stay away from the kitchen because of the I didn’t like the cooking oil smell at all.
Fast forward 2 kids later, I find it more practical to have home cooked meals as outside food and eating out is getting more expensive by the day. And apart from that I seem to enjoy cooking more than ever.
So, that’s my cooking history…
