Yes, I do have a daily schedule (in my mind) for me and my kids. But I would have to say that our schedule for now is not that efficient and productive.
In the mornings, a big chunk of my time is already consume with cooking and doing household chores. And so that I could do my cooking and chores more peacefully, guess what I have to do to keep my 5 year old and 2 year old occupied? Yes, I turn on the DVD. Until now, I still want to find my way around in our daily schedule so that my kids won’t end up watching too much TV. I’m a slow worker and I need some concentration when I cook (LOL!) so, my kids have to be still and quiet while I do my work. I actually have two options so that the TV don’t have to babysit my children in the mornings. It’s either, I have to do my cooking the night before or very early in the morning. I have to choose but both options are not so good for me. I’m usually too tired to do anything at night and I usually struggle to wake up so early in the morning.. choices.. choices.. which one would I choose.
To continue with our daily schedule.. in the afternoons, after our lunch, my 2 year old takes a 2 hour nap while I do reading lessons with my li’l girl. And then it’ll be free time for both my kids until my Hubby comes back home for dinner, then we have some family time together before we put them to sleep.
I told you, our daily schedule is not that efficient and productive. I would have to do a major revampĀ on it so that my kids and I could accomplish more things in a day.

I’ve mentioned in one of my earlier posts about the book (Get More Done in Less Time) I read a few weeks ago. Incidentally, as I was searching about the author, I found that the forms ( charts, tables, planner) she mentioned in her book can be downloaded in the internet for free.
I’ve just printed out a few of the forms just now and be printing more soon. I plan to compile all these and make my own Day Book. Anyways, you can take a peek at the forms and see whether you can use these yourself.

I’ve been cooking quite a lot these days and I’m just so proud of this ‘achievement’. Everyday, I would be searching for new recipes or trying out dishes that I’ve never cooked before. Actually, I would have to thank for the world wide web for such feat.
If you’ve read my earlier posts, you would know that I’m not a gifted cook, so I rely on cookbooks and copied recipes for me to cook a decent meal. And with an American cookbook, it’s quite a task buying all the ingredients and equipment needed in an Asian country. With the internet, it’s quite simple.. I just need to type a dish which I think contains the ingredients that are in my fridge..and wolah, I could surely find a thousand of results with that search. Then, I just need to browse through the easiest method of cooking, print it and proceed to the kitchen.
Just today I cooked Sotanghon Guisado and it turned out quite well. Thanks to the site that gave a very simple but delicious recipe.
I’m really enjoying being in the kitchen right now. I want to try out more and more recipes.
